Downtown Colfax has a creative and practical opportunity coming up this June — a beginner-friendly Visible Mending workshop that teaches you how to repair and restore the clothes and household items you love most.
In this hands-on class, participants will learn hand-mending techniques and explore the use of a mini darning loom — tools that turn a worn patch or fraying seam into something intentional and beautiful. Students are welcome to bring their own well-loved items in need of mending to practice on during class.
No prior experience is needed, and all materials are provided.
Whether you’re looking to extend the life of a favorite sweater, reduce textile waste, or simply slow down and make something with your hands, this workshop offers a welcoming space to learn alongside your neighbors in the heart of Historic Downtown Colfax.
