Astonishing Theatre Company is turning the lights down twice this fall, and this time it’s on a comedy that loves musicals as much as we do.
The Drowsy Chaperone runs October 16 through 25 at The Colfax Theatre, right on Main Street in downtown Colfax, CA. An old record spins to life, a chaperone stirs up trouble, and a stage full of golden-age numbers takes over 49 S Main Street for ten days straight — catchy songs, larger-than-life characters, and chaos always one scene away. It’s the kind of homegrown production that makes the short exit off I-80 worth it, Placer County community theater at its funniest.
