Trinity Burruss
City Council: Dedicated leader with a strong background in operations management and public service, committed to advancing Colfax's community through her work on the City Council and regional boards.
Councilmember Burruss has lived in The City of Colfax for over a decade and loves this community. As a parent, there is nowhere else she wants her children to call home.
Her background is primarily in Operations Management and Industrial Engineering for multimillion-dollar projects and operations performed by large publicly traded companies. She received Police Officers Standards and Training (POST) Academy training under the supervision of Placer County Sheriff’s Office. She has also served as an officer to Placer County Superior Court as a Court Appointed Special Advocate to children. Professionally, she currently works for Pacific Gas and Electric Company on Electric Grid Interconnection of both distribution and transmission level projects under the FERC Wholesale Distribution Tariff, and in cooperation with the California Independent System Operator (CAISO.)
Trinity has served on the City Council since 2018. During her time on council she has served in many capacities, including two terms as Mayor, and one term as Mayor Pro Tem. She has represented the city on several regional boards including but not limited to the Sacramento Area Council of Governments as the Policy and Innovation committee Co-Chair, and as Chairman to Placer County Transportation Planning Agency, Placer County Air Pollution Control District, & Placer Local Agency Formation Commission.
She is excited to continue dedicating her time and resources to fulfilling the duties of City of Colfax Councilmember.
