About Live in Colfax

Live in Colfax is a free outdoor summer concert series produced by the Historic Colfax Downtown Association — five Saturday evenings of professional live music at the Art Park on South Main Street in historic downtown Colfax. No tickets. No cost. Just great music, local vendors, food trucks, and a community that shows up for itself. Gates open at 5:00PM with a Local Youth Spotlight performer, followed by an opening act and headlining band through 9:00PM. Free and open to all ages all summer long.

Some bands play music. Late for the Train makes you feel like you’ve found something you didn’t know you were looking for.

Born from a shared love of American roots music, this West Coast touring band is part songwriter’s storybook and part bluegrass adventure — the kind of live show that uplifts the spirit and rouses the soul. They’ve played the Strawberry Music Festival right up the road in Grass Valley, sold out the Valhalla Theater in South Lake Tahoe, and in 2024 took their music all the way to Ireland performing at the Westport Folk & Bluegrass Festival and on national Gaelic TV.

Two studio albums. A dedicated West Coast following. And press that says it better than we can — Pacific Sun Magazine wrote that their voices blend like gypsy souls who’ve found a home in each other’s musical arms.

South Main Street will be fully closed for the event. Free parking available on surrounding streets — come early, spots near the venue fill fast.
