On December 6, 2024, I had the privilege of attending the “Collaborate and Activate to Increase Support for the Arts” workshop in Auburn, CA. This event, hosted by the Arts Council of Placer County in partnership with the Auburn Symphony, featured insightful presentations by Julie Baker, CEO of California Arts Advocates, and Tracy Hudak, Director of Field Engagement for California for the Arts

A Vision for Arts in Colfax

At the meeting, I had the opportunity to connect with local leaders and learn about incredible arts initiatives happening throughout Placer County. It was exciting to see how these projects are making the arts more accessible and impactful, from hands-on programs for students to community-wide interactive art installations.

The Historic Colfax Downtown Association shares this vision of making art an integral part of our community. We are committed to partnering with other Placer County organizations to bring more art to Colfax—enriching our town’s vibrant history, engaging residents of all ages, and drawing visitors to experience our unique charm.
